When I first started the Maker’s Diet 12 years ago, ordering organic food online was nearly unheard of. Whole Foods dominated the natural health food scene, with Trader Joe’s (at the time) trailing behind, but carrying far less organic products than Whole Foods did. And the Internet, well, it wasn’t the first place you thought of when you wanted to buy some organic apples!
So very much has changed in the last decade in the health food industry, as well as online. THANK GOD! And, I have a feeling it’s only the beginning. Companies like Instacart (online delivery service) Thrive Market, Door to Door Organics, and even Amazon Fresh are changing the way that health food consumers like you and me get our organic foods.
So, moving on to the top four online sites for food!
#1: Thrive Market:
My very first favorite, top of the list, is Thrive Market for grocery/pantry/household staples. I also love their giving back program.
And here’s one of my shopping lists from a purchase I made there:
#2) Door to Door Organics:
Does it get any better than fresh organic fruits and veggies delivered right to your door?! And no, you DON’T have to get a box of green leafy veggies that you don’t want, you’re in full control of what you get and when you get it, and can fully customize your order, delay a delivery, and more!
I actually found out about this company because I saw a delivery truck in my neighborhood! This website is fantastic for busy people who still want fresh organic food, or those who just want the convenience of ordering online. They partner with local farms to deliver fresh, organic fruits, veggies, eggs and meats to your doorstep. The only drawback is this company, at least, does deliveries primarily in the Midwest.
It’s still worth looking into though, if you don’t live out in this section of the country. 🙂 There might also be something like this in your local area as well.

#3) Amazon & Amazon Fresh
Let me say first that there are many food products that you can also get on Amazon. For example, they have a great deal on Native Forest organic coconut milk, (I like that brand because it’s organic and their containers are BPA free) and Garden of Life coconut oil too. There are a whole bunch of other grocery items so it’s worth a shot to see if they carry your favorite organic items.
If Amazon Fresh delivers in your area, see if they carry your favorite organic foods as part of their program. Whole Foods recent partnership with Amazon will also doubtless bring even more organic foods as part of their Prime delivery service.
#4) Azure Standard
Azure Standard is an amazing resource for accessing organic and natural foods locally. They carry a wide variety of discounted natural grocery items, and fresh fruit and veggies too. (All organic) They delivery to buying clubs, co ops, or individuals, as long as you’re on their route. They won’t deliver to your house, but they will bring your ordered goods to a drop point in your local area. You can go pick up your goodies! For more info or to shop online, click here.
I hope this article has helped you find ways to save on your health products online!
Here’s to your amazing health!
With much love,
