I love good tea. But, I can’t handle caffeine. It gives me heart palpitations. So I’m always on the lookout for great herbal blends that taste delicious, have numerous health benefits, and that are free of caffeine. (My husband, on the other hand, does fine with caffeine and loves organic Earl Grey in the mornings for breakfast!)
Rishi Teas are hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. They are also very easy to digest. Some herbal teas can be difficult to digest in my experience, but Rishi is gentle, soothing, and tastes truly amazing.
I love this organic blueberry rooibos herbal blend, which I get at my local Whole Foods. You can also get it from Amazon. It’s worth every penny.
It uses organic rooibos tea as the base, and adds organic elderberries, organic hibiscus flowers, organic currants, organic schizandra berries, organic blueberries etc. It tastes sweet, tart, and soothing all at the same time, and it smells AMAZING. It makes my whole downstairs smell like blueberries when I make it in my tea maker.
Rooibos is technically an herb, not a tea, and has many medicinal benefits. It is completely caffeine free, and is high in antioxidant polyphenols and also heart healthy quercetin. It’s also high in minerals such as iron, calcium, zinc, magnesium, and, to make your skin happy and glowy- alpha hydroxy acid. Rooibos comes from a shrub originally cultivated in South Africa. It is red in color, not black.
This tea is so yummy, and so soothing. It tastes like Spring in a cup. I love adding a little bit of organic raw honey too. If you get some, please let me know what you think!
