    1) What one change have you made for your health this year that you are very PROUD of?
    Cleaning out most of the processed foods from my pantry and fridge.

    I have been up and down with eating healthier changes. The 1 have stuck with would be a little less sugar. The thing I would change is eating more raw vegetables daily, because I feel better when I do. I would love to try the chocolate!!

    1. I’m thankful that This year I’m sticking to my weight/health goals by drinking Isagenix shakes and cooking healthy organic meals.
    2. The one thing I would change about my health (if I could) would be that I wish I had learned earlier in life the effects that junky foods and OTC drugs (like Tylenol) have on our systems.

    1. One thing I’m proud of is that my children are making better choices with what they eat because I’ve taught them well…. They are 18 and 13.

    1. I am thankful that this year, I am starting to lose weight by not overeating so much when I am upset. I am also reading labels alot more carefully, and am eating mostly organics.
    2. The one thing I would change about my health (if I could) is to heal from multiple chemical sensitivity. I have tried all kinds of natural things to get better with only minimal results. I am hoping and praying for a healing or for some breakthrough physically in this area.

    I am excited to say that I signed up for local organic farm produce to pick up starting in early spring. Fresh strawberries with that chocolate would be even better lol. Anyway I can’t wait. Not only am I supporting a Long forgotten way of living I and putting our money back into OUR community. We have also switched to free range vegetarian/ grass feed chicken meat an local eggs.
    What I want to change next is free range grass feed beef. This will be our biggest rather most expensive switch yet, however I am doing research now to see where/ what to get.
    Thanks for your posts. They remind me daily to try and make the best choice I can. I still have a way to go but am headed down the right path.

    1-I am thankful that this year I finally decided to make my health and getting healthy a top priority.
    2-The one thing I would change about my health and I am working on it because I do believe that any condition in life is changeable, is my adfiction for sugar. It is I believe the reason for many of body issues.

    I made a commitment to exercise daily, over and above the normal household activities.

    I wish i would have known how addictive sugar
    is and how harmful excessive consumption

    I am thankful that we have found a farmer’s market not too far from our house so we can get fresh local veggies and eggs.

    1) I am proud of myself for drinking mostly water (along with iced tea i make myself with only honey)! I also have started drinking only organic milk.
    2) I would like to get rid of my cravings for carbs. If i could, I would eat carbs all day and no veggies!

    The best thing I’ve done for my health is starting Crossfit. It’s very challenging but my motto “Crossfit equals Christ-fit” keeps me going!

    I have moved my families diet to more healthy eating with less carbs, watching preservatives/chemicals on labels and teaching my children to do these as well.
    For me, I wish I could consistently fight fatigue and anemia.

    1. I have been trying to follow a more organic and paleo diet. I am very proud of myself and I have lost 12 lbs so far.

    2. The thing I would keep changing is my weight. I have 59 more lbs to go to be healthy, and I need a better excerise routine for at home.

    I have changed our family’s diet over to organic and eliminated cow’s milk. We have seen some very nice affects.

    I wish I didn’t love candy and sweets so much. They are my downfall at work when someone puts out a handful of snack-sized treats to share!

    1) In November of 2012, my 6 month old broke out in a terrible eczema rash all over his body. Despite the push to treat it with steroids, I am proud that I found by going dairy-free his symptoms would greatly improve. I am proud to say I stuck with it and his eczema is GONE! PTL! I am now trying to move toward a gluten-free/grain-free diet and learning to use coconut flour and almond flour.
    2) I would like to rid of my last 9 pounds of pregnancy weight! I have had two babies in 2 years and had a total of 40 pounds to lose. I’ve lost 31 so far.

    1.) I started juicing twice a day last year and I’m proud that I have continued to keep up with it. πŸ™‚ Juicing makes me happy inside and out.

    1. I thank God for the wisdom to learn how to live organic and raise my family better. We have just begun on our journey to a healthier lifestyle, but grateful for every ounce of knowledge and baby step.
    2. Six months ago I had Gastric Sleeve surgery and it has been an amazing journey, but I still have quite a ways to go (100lbs) . I will work out more and tone up and not stop until I reach my goal weight.

    1. Low-carb-ness. I have lost an inch off my waist and my hips. No more bloating and other grossness. I bought seeds yesterday, for our expanded veggie garden!

    1.) I am very proud and happy that my family and I decided to change our lifestyle, as well as daily habits, not just for my health…but for their future too. This past year I was diagnosed with MS, so the more Vegan/Vegetarian Lifestyle and added activity have been most awesome with my healing path!

    I am proud that I have found more ways to stay healthy. I have introduced Apple cider vinegar and real honey into my diet. Also more organic products all though we don’t have the money yet for all organic it’s nice to have what we can.

    1. We went gluten-free about a month ago because of behaviorial and gut issues with my almost two yr old son. In doing that, we have gotten rid of most processed food. It feels good to get back to basics.. fruits, veggies, meat, nuts, raw milk, etc.

    1. I have dedicated myself to an all organic, vegan, and gluten free (was because of celiac disease but now I also know the health benefits!) lifestyle! I have done this for my own health, but also because I am exclusively breastfeeding my 4month old baby boy and working full time which has been challenging but more rewarding than anything.

    My whole family has switched to drinking kangen water. We have been drinking it since jan. 1st and have really enjoyed the amazing changes it has made to our health. Our kiddos love it, they refer to it as our “special” water; we have not had a problem getting them to drink it.

    2) What one thing would you change about your health, if you could, right now?
    If I could change anything about my health is my digestive condition (a severe spastic colon, which is a result of going into anaphylactic shock from a medication). We are working on it, the kangen water has been a tremendous help here. Plus, we have been eating more whole, organic foods.

    The thing I would change is my families addiction to sugar/candy. We have always eaten healthy but somehow the girls have gotten addicted to candy and don’t like giving that up. I “healthy up” all of my baking recipes but baked goods don’t replace candy in their eyes.

    1) I have gone completely clean prior to this year, and even published an e-book to Amazon, on how I did it. The one thing holding me up was my chewing gum. Nearly every brand of gum has artificial sweetners. I FINALLY found a brand (worth chewing) at Whole Foods. It is Spry, and is made with Xylitol. It actually freshens breath, and lasts! No more toxic gum!

    2) One thing that I definitely need to work on is exercise. I don’t exercise nearly enough, and always feel too tired from work. With something this important, I must stop making excuses, and just do it.

    1. Quitting smoking. It has almost been a year exactly since I broke the addiction I was caught in and stopped smoking- cold turkey. It has been the best thing I have ever done for myself health wise besides going gluten-free. πŸ™‚

    2. If I could, I would change the fact that I have Celiac disease and the damage it has done to my body while I have unknowingly had it. The damage is healing, but it takes such a long time. :/

I want to be buy organic meat, we don’t have the money right now but we are really trying to cut somethings out of our budget so that we can by it.     After 4 pregnancies and other issues, my endocrine system and hormones are very out of balance despite my attempt at healthy eating. If I had insurance or money wasn’t an issue, I would go to a natural doctor that could balance my hormones and get my body back where it needs to be so the healthy eating we are doing will do more good than it is doing right now.

    I’m excited this year to be making more time for exercise, going to bed earlier, eating/using more coconut oil, and consistently taking a probiotic (Primal Defense). I’m pretty happy with my overall health but I would like to go back on the Maker’s Diet, and work on getting over my yucky processed sugar cravings!!

    I am a sugar addict and am working on breaking myself and my family from it.     I’ve switched over to the makers diet this year. I’m very proud of this! I’m still working a few things out, like only eating organic produce. But our farmers market is starting back up in a few Weeks and eating only organic will finally become a reality! If I could change one thing about my Health I would cure my ulcerative colitis.     !. The change(s) made that I am most proud of, is that I am completely following “The Maker’s Diet.” I haven’t had a soda (diet coke) or processed food and have transitioned nearly my entire home to organic products!

    2. The thing I would change about my health (and intend to do so,) is to be off of ALL prescriptions medication that I currently take for SLE (systemic lupus). I have already been able to cut them in half after less than 5 weeks on the diet and feel better than I have in 10 years! πŸ™‚

    1. This year I feel empowered and PROUD as a mother because I made a lot of changes in my children’s diet by making sure they are healthier and have the vitamins that their growing little bodies need. That includes the little girl in my belly as well!

    I know the contest is over, but I thought I’d share my personal health challenge and recent victory.

    1. This year, well late last year, I determined to start eating a plant-based diet. After watching several compelling documentaries detailing the health benefits, I felt like I could no longer continue eating unhealthy food. In less than 3 months, I’ve lost 16 pounds and am no longer pre-diabetic. Also, I’m in the process of removing high blood pressure meds from my life forever! (See my website for more details.)

    2. I honestly am not sure I can top what I’ve already accomplished. I would like to exercise more to further my improved health. Other than that, I’m still pretty excited about where I’ve come!!
