Happy 4th of July!! And a delicious banana dessert recipe…

Happy 4th of July! I hope you all had a wonderful day celebrating.  We spent the evening grilling grass fed beef burgers at our friend’s home, and watching the fireworks with the kids.  God bless the USA!  I sure do love this country, and having the freedom to eat what we want is truly a gift from God.  Amazingly, even the raw milk my little ones are drinking in the picture above is being fought over.  I say, let freedom ring!!! 🙂

Mark’s Mom sent the kids adorable outfits for the 4th so they were all decked out.  Even Grace had a darling outfit!  (Again another child drinking raw milk!) 🙂

We had such a fun time with our friends- here I am with my two close friends, Heba and Angela, both fellow Moms and beautiful women!

After we watched the fireworks, we came home and got the kids in bed, and I made a yummy banana dessert that the kids and I have been enjoying this HOT week!  Seriously, it’s been over 105 for almost 2 weeks now!  All you do is take about 2-3 frozen organic bananas, and put them in a blender with about 1/2 cup-1 cup organic raw milk, 1 large heaping spoonful organic peanut or almond butter, and about 2 teaspoons organic cocoa powder. 

I use my VitaMix and push it down with the stir stick.  Within about 1 minute you have banana "ice cream"!  You can make it without the nut butter, but it tastes a little icy.  It needs some fat. 🙂  The kids LOVE this and so does my husband!  And I love it because there’s no sugar, even Rapadura, for the little ones.  Let me know if you try it, and Happy 4th of July!  Enjoy your freedom, it’s not owed to you!
